Pastor Tavon Thomas is a devoted servant of God, preacher, teacher, father, and spiritual leader who has dedicated his life to serving Christ and His people. He currently serves as the 5th Pastor of Father's House of Prayer Mission Baptist Church, carrying forward the church's legacy while embracing the vision God has placed before him for this generation.

Pastor Thomas began his pastoral journey at Father's House of Prayer Mission Baptist Church in 2022 when he was selected to serve as Interim Pastor. In 2024, he was appointed Pastor-elect, continuing to faithfully lead, teach, and shepherd the congregation. After years of faithful service and preparation, he was officially installed as Pastor in 2025.

His ministry is rooted in the Word of God, prayer, discipleship, and a sincere desire to see people encounter Jesus Christ and experience the transforming power of God. Pastor Thomas believes that the church is called not only to gather within its walls, but also to reach beyond them-serving families, strengthening communities, developing disciples, and sharing the love of Christ with those who are hurting and searching for hope.

Pastor Thomas has pursued formal theological education as part of his commitment to rightly handling the Word of God. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Theology and later his Master's Degree in Theology from Back to Basics School of Ministry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

His ministerial credentials were established through the leadership and covering of respected servants of God. Pastor Thomas was licensed as a Minister in the Lord's Church in Chester, Pennsylvania, by Bishop Larry Snow, Senior Pastor of Haven of Hope Ministries. He was later ordained as an Elder by Bishop Teto T. Saunders, Senior Pastor and Establishmentarian of New Birth Fellowship Tabernacle and Presiding Bishop of New Birth Fellowship Alliance.

Beyond the pulpit, Pastor Thomas is a proud father of two daughters, Ciani and Aubrey, who are a cherished part of his life. His love for his family and his commitment to fatherhood are important aspects of who he is both personally and in ministry.

Pastor Thomas' favorite scripture is John 14:14 (KJV)... "If ye shall ask any thing in my name, l will do it."

This scripture reflects a foundational conviction of his ministry: there is power in prayer, authority in the name of Jesus, and confidence in the promises of God

As Pastor of Father's House of Prayer Mission Baptist Church, Pastor Tavon Thomas is committed to leading with faith, serving with humility, preaching the uncompromised Word of God, and helping people discover that there is still hope, healing, purpose, and power in Jesus

His heart for ministry can be summed up in one simple desire: to see people transformed by the presence of God, strengthened by His Word, and empowered to fulfill the purpose for which God created them.
